1) Adjective describes a noun.
2) When adjective are used to compare nouns, they are called degree of comparison
THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF DEGREES OF COMPARISON
POSITIVE DEGREE | COMPARATIVE DEGREE | SUPERLATIVE DEGREE |
1) Does not compare a nouns. | 1) Compares two nouns. | 1) Compares more than two nouns. |
2) It is the original form of an adjective. | 2) It is formed when er added after the original form of the adjective. | 2) It is formed when est is added after the original form of the adjective. |
